We are seeking a Buyer/Purchasing Agent to handle the procurement process of various flooring products and accessories. This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating purchase orders and placing orders electronically and via telephone
  • Following up on orders to ensure that the material will be received in a timely manner in accordance with the job-specific schedule
  • Negotiating with suppliers on pricing, scheduling and deliveries
  • Timing deliveries to maximize warehouse space availability
  • Analyzing previous purchase history to ensure we are buying at the best possible price
  • Working with the Accounting department to resolve invoicing discrepancies

Qualities we are looking for include:

  • Previous purchasing experience is required
  • A background in flooring is beneficial, but not necessary
  • Competency in Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Adobe
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to problem solve and react quickly to situations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Professional, pleasant team player

Plus, as an added bonus, CB Flooring practices “Summer Fridays”, which means the Company closes at 2PM on Fridays from Memorial Day to Labor Day!
