Carol Bode

Carol Bode and her husband Chuck have two children, Matt, a graduate of Florida State (Go Noles!), who works in the family business, and Emily, a graduate of The University of Miami (Go Canes!), who now also works for the family firm! Carol has a black Lab, (Orphan) Annie, also currently employed by the firm as Head Greeter. Carol is a voracious reader in what little free time she has, and loves sports of all sorts, and spending time at the beach. If she isn’t in the office, she’s at the beach. Her responsibilities include overseeing all the “inside” accounting functions of the Company, and trying to keep Chuck in line.

Chuck Bode

Executive Vice President

While Carol focuses on everything “inside”, Chuck’s role is Mr. “Outside”. Chuck and Carol started CB Flooring in 1997 after surviving a couple of unhappy years in corporate America. Chuck loves biking and golf, and is a long time season ticket holder of both the Ravens and the Orioles. A graduate of the University Of Maryland School Of Law and a member of the Maryland Bar, he believes Shakespeare got it right in Henry VI. An early riser, it’s not uncommon to get a 5:30 AM e-mail from him. Never content with the status quo, his main role is to drive the company forward.

Lou Florenzo

Chief Financial Officer

Lou Florenzo is hilariously referred to internally as our CFNO. Lou’s principal role is keeping the financial scorecard for the Company and maintaining our banking and bonding relationships. Lou has been working in the industry for 25 years. He loves spending time with his family, and particularly enjoys watching his high-schooler play sports. Lou is generally thought of as a calming influence at the company- and spends much of his time on long term strategic planning.

Jim McAllister

Vice President of Sales

Jim McAllister is our Vice-President Commercial Sales. His main job is to find 8 million dollars’ worth of commercial flooring to sell to somebody, every month! Jim is the father of three daughters, loves to bike, ski, golf, wind surf and whatever else he can do to stay physically active. He currently oversees all of the commercial and builder salespeople, in addition to our estimating department. He owns part of a racehorse that he enjoys going to see run. He is a veteran of 30 years in the construction business and joined forces with CB in 2010.

Robert Bode

Vice President of Operations

Robert Bode has the difficult task of overseeing our production quality in the field and managing all warehouse operations. The youngest sibling of John and Mary Bode’s brood, Robert is Chuck’s brother. They have worked together for 30 years. Robert also loves golf, but particularly has enjoyed most recently his new role as grandfather.  Robert came into this business at a young age and has worked his way up from the warehouse, to installer, field man and then into management. He takes great pride in the workmanship performed in the field by our crews, not exactly an easy task.

Matt Bode

Vice President of Business Development

Matt Bode represents, along with his sister Emily, the next generation at CB Flooring. Having recently moved from an extremely successful sales job into management, he is training to eventually assume the same role his father now performs. Matt holds a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Finance and Real Estate from Florida State University. He loves downtown living in Canton, and enjoys golf and traveling. His main job is to oversee the next generation of salespeople that the company is currently recruiting, to develop new business for the company and to try to figure out exactly what it is his father does all day.

Emily Bode

Assistant Controller

Emily Bode joined the family business in May of 2017 after spending 3 years as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Miami. Emily loves living in Locust Point, and enjoys co-ed sports of all sorts. Like Carol, she is another fanatic beach lover. With her auditing background, she has brought great ideas with her on proper internal controls and is helping make the business more streamlined and professional.  She wants to make the business “paper free” by 2020!  She is training with Carol to eventually take over that role at the Company. We are pleased she has come aboard!

Annie Bode

Annie comes to work virtually every day. When not napping in her bed, she generally prowls the hallways looking for treats. She enjoys visiting with her co-workers to see what’s up and will occasionally bark at a vendor who is trying to raise prices.
